  7. In response to the request for Sangria recipes, here is one which has
  8. been a hit everytime we have served it:

  10. PARTY SANGRIA
  11.  
  12.     1 - 750 ml bottle of red wine (I use Burgandy), chilled
  13.     1   Orange, sliced
  14.     1/2 Lemon, sliced
  15.     2   Tablespoons sugar
  16.     1/2 Cup (~120 ml) citrus-flavored soda (e.g., 7-Up, Sprite)

  18. In a non-metallic container (a glass pitcher is perfect) gently toss
  19. together 1/2 cup of the wine, the fruit, and the sugar, and refrigerate
  20. for 1/2 hour.  Add the remainder of the wine, together with the soda,
  21. and stir.

  23. You may wish to add ice; you may also wish to serve this with the fruit.
